FC Bayern will begin the 56th Bundesliga season at home to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on 24 August at 20.30 CEST. The German Football League (DFL) revealed the fixture list for the 2018/19 campaign on Friday. Niko Kovac and his men will contest their first away match in Swabia, where the German record champions take on VfB Stuttgart (31 August to 2 September).
The Bavarians are in for tough challenges from the start. FCB entertain Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Matchday 3 (14 to 16 September) before travelling to face runners-up FC Schalke 04 on Matchday 4 (21 to 23 September). The match away to Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 11 (9 to 11 November) will be another cracker. The Munich men will contest the last match of the year away to Eintracht Frankfurt (21 to 23 December) before kicking off the second half of the campaign away to Hoffenheim (18 to 21 January). Bayern will face Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena on the last matchday (18 May 2019).
The precise timing for the matches will be decided over the course of the season and is largely dependent on Champions League and Europa League fixtures. The DFL will announce the exact schedule for the first few matches in the upcoming weeks.
