Corentin Tolisso and France have progressed to the World Cup knockout rounds in Russia. The Equipe Tricolore beat Peru 1-0 on Thursday, sealing a spot in the last sixteen with their second victory in the second match.

Tolisso failed to get off the bench. Kylian Mbappé scored the match-winner after 33 minutes. Didier Deschamps' men created a number of chances, turning in a convincing display especially in the first half.  The South Americans, lead by ex-FCB pro Paolo Guerrero, got a grip on the contest in the second half and created presentable opportunities but failed to make the most of it.

France take on Denmark on Tuesday at 16.00 CET, and they will be looking to seal the group victory. Les Bleus will face a team from Group D in the last sixteen, either Argentina, Croatia, Iceland or Nigeria.
