Someone's hitting peak form just in time to go for the Golden Boot in Russia! Robert Lewandowski was on target twice on Tuesday evening in the Poles' dress rehearsal for the World Cup, leading his team almost single-handedly to victory over Lithuania a week before their first group match against Senegal.

In the Poles' convincing 4-0 win, the 29-year-old scored in the 19th minute from a Maciej Rybus assist, before netting from a free-kick just after the half-hour. The other goals in Warsaw were scored by Dawid Kownacki after 71 minutes, and VfL Wolfsburg's Jakub Blaszczykowski with a penalty eight minutes from time. Lewandowski was substituted at the break.

After Senegal, Adam Nawalka's team face Colombia in Group H, where Lewandowski will come up against Bayern teammate James Rodríguez in Kazan on 24 June, followed by Japan four days later.
