Munich is getting behind Germany. The Allianz Arena will be lit up in black, red and gold for Germany’s opening match in the 2018 World Cup against Mexico on Sunday (17.00 CEST). The lighting will come on at sunset (around 21.00 CEST) and go off at about 23.00 CEST. The home of FC Bayern will thereby show support for Germany, including Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Jérôme Boateng, Mats Hummels, Niklas Süle, Joshua Kimmich and Sebastian Rudy, as they set out to defend their title.
Lewandowski has his own stamp
Robert Lewandowski kicks off the tournament on Tuesday 19 June (17.00 CEST) against Senegal but his homeland is already consumed with World Cup fever as they celebrate their captain. The FC Bayern striker now has his own stamp in Poland. It has been available since Thursday and shows the face of the FCB star, his initials and shirt number, RL9. Five million have been printed and the stamp costs six zloty, equivalent to 1.40 euros.
