Müller: ‘Don’t blame anyone else’
Thomas Müller has called for a united and determined approach three days ahead of Germany’s crucial second group match against Sweden on Saturday (20.00 CEST). ”We’ve got two massive games in the group. We have to win both games and there’s a lot of pressure. But we won’t win the two games if we tear each other apart and try to blame anyone else,” said the 28-year-old at Tuesday’s press conference in Sochi. The mistakes in the opening defeat against Mexico have been analysed in depth and now it’s all about looking forward according to Müller. The Germany squad moved to their base in the venue on the Black Sea coast on Tuesday night as they look to strike back in the World Cup. “Arrived in Sochi where we have to turn it all around,” said team-mate Mats Hummels on Twitter on Tuesday night.
