Welcome to Miami, Bienvenidos a Miami. After a flight of almost three hours, FC Bayern landed in the Sunshine State of Florida on Thursday afternoon local time on their second stop of this year's Audi Summer Tour USA. As this was the first time an A350-1000 had landed at Miami International Airport, the German record champions were welcomed with a water fountain from the airport fire department. It marked a continuation of the great days the Reds had experienced beforehand in Philadelphia.

FCB continued their preparations for the upcoming season with five intensive training sessions, resulting in a lot of heavily sweating players. But there was no shortage of fun either. One highlight for the team was a group visit to the Rocky statue and the legendary steps leading up to the Philadelphia Museum of Arts. "I used to watch the Rocky movies as a child, it was great," enthused Franck Ribéry afterwards.

Experiences like these ensured the Reds left Philadelphia feeling completely content, something even the 2-0 defeat in the friendly against Juventus didn't change. And head coach Niko Kovac's comments reflected that. "The score doesn't quite reflect the course of the game. I'm happy with the way we played. The result doesn't speak in our favour, but that's secondary."

"We've had very good training conditions and I've been very pleased with the trip up till now. America is pretty good and now we're off to Miami," was the 46-year-old's verdict on the tour so far.
