Peter Hermann joins new Bayern coach Niko Kovac and his brother Robert. Hermann will join the German record champions' coaching staff from 1 September, Kovac announced during his unveiling at the Allianz Arena on Monday. Hermann will take a two-month break "for private reasons" before he will be integrated into the daily training routine, declared Kovac. Hermann will also "oversee the training sessions with the national team players in Munich" during the Audi Summer Tour to the US at the end of July, according to Kovac.
James rated doubtful
One day before the World Cup last sixteen match against England in Moscow on Tuesday, Colombia are worried about James Rodríguez' fitness. The 2014 World Cup top scorer sustained a bruised calf in the last group match against Senegal, an MRI scan revealed last weekend. On a more positive note, the 26-year-old Bayern pro did not tear a muscle in the match, according to the Colombian FA. "James is a leader for us all. But if he can't play others will step in for him," said midfielder Carlos Sánchez.
