FC Bayern Munich has continued its faith in youth and bound the next hopeful youngster to the club on a long-term deal. On Friday morning 19-year-old midfielder Adrian Fein signed a three-year professional contract keeping him at Bayern until June 2021.
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said following the signing: “Adrian is a homegrown Bayern player. He has great qualities and is one of the best players in our U23s. We’ll try to introduce him to the first team bit by bit.”
Adrian Fein: “It’s a great feeling. A professional contract at FC Bayern is confirmation to me of all my hard work in recent years. I know this is only the beginning. I can learn a lot from the great players here.”
The Germany youth international first came to Säbener Straße in summer 2007 and has come through the FCB youth teams since then. Last season he was a regular in the Bayern reserves in the Regionalliga. He also made three appearances for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League. Fein was part of Holger Seitz’s side that finished runners-up in the U19 Bundesliga in 2017. The 19-year-old should now help Seitz in the reserves as they push for promotion to the third division, with their Regionalliga campaign starting on 12 July at Eichstätt.
