SV Rödinghausen are FC Bayern's opponents in the second round of this season's DFB Cup. The draw was made on Sunday evening at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. Sprinter Gina Lückenkemper, silver and bronze medallist at the athletics European Championships a few weeks ago, drew the competition's record winners against the fourth-tier side.

"Unbelievable, we're overjoyed, it's the best possible draw,“ declared Rödinghausen boss Enrico Maaßen. In a strange twist, Maaßen coached SV Drochtersen/Assel last season and led them into the first round of the cup, where they met Bayern. "It's come full circle,“ Maaßen summarised.

Rödinghausen were surprise 3-2 winners after extra time against second tier Dynamo Dresden in the first round.

The second round ties will be played on 30 and 31 October.
