Changes at the Allianz Arena

The Bundesliga opener will be staged at the Allianz Arena on Friday, and there are a number of changes in different areas at FC Bayern's home for the upcoming season. Here are the most important changes ahead of the first home match against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Friday at 20.30 CEST:

Change to stadium interior: Motifs on seats in the North Stand (FC Bayern logo), on the lower tier of the main stand on the west side (‘Mia san Mia’) and in the East Stand (FC Bayern München logo). In addition, our fans have painted the areas around six kiosks depicting portraits and moments from the history FC Bayern München at their own initiative.

Smoking ban: Smoking is strictly forbidden from the block entrances to the seats in the Allianz Arena. That covers all tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, pipes, Iquos, electronic cigarettes). Smoking is permitted in designated rooms and the dedicated areas on levels 4 and 5, on the esplanade and the promenades. The requirements of the smoking ban remain unchanged in accordance with the laws on public health enacted by the Bavarian parliament on 12.12.2007.

Introduction of reusable beakers: As a result of close cooperation with the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment, FC Bayern München are introducing a reusable beaker system for dispensing drinks for Sunday’s game against Manchester United. The aim of the change is to reduce waste and be more efficient in the use of energy resources. There will be a deposit of two euros per beaker. Beakers are issued and returned at the kiosks.

There will also be four collection points at the exits to the esplanade. Anybody depositing beakers at any of these points will donate their deposits to either the FC Bayern Hilfe e.V. or another community project to be announced.
