The FC Bayern first team squad started the day with a sweat-inducing fitness obstacle course on Friday. Equipped with weight vests, dumb bells, medicine balls and resistance bands, the FCB players completed a speed strength obstacle course under the guidance of Dr. Holger Broich and Thomas Wilhelmi with four stops for knee bends, jumps and sprints.

Ribery is back

After an accident in training on Thursday afternoon, Franck Ribéry took full part in the Friday session. With a thick plaster over his left eyebrow, the Frenchman completed the whole session without any problems.

Quartet train on their own

Friday morning was less arduous for Sandro Wagner, Renato Sanches, Arturo Vidal and James Rodríguez, who has only just joined in with the pre-season. After the intensity of recent days, the quartet are mainly doing recovery work.

Rudy the man in the mask

Sebastian Rudy wore a carbon-fibre face mask for the moves involving contact with opponents. The background: Rudy suffered a broken nose the World Cup group match against Sweden and later underwent an operation. Rudy will be able to start to dispense with the mask once the fracture is fully healed.

Afternoon off

The Bayern pros have been given Friday afternoon off. After an intensive session in the morning that lasted for two hours, coach Niko Kovac has given his players a half day off to recover ahead of two closed sessions on Saturday.
