David Alaba turned in a strong display on Thursday, leading Austria to a 2-0 victory in their friendly against Sweden. The FCB left-back, who captained his team at Vienna's Generali Arena, was involved in both goals. Filip Helander put into his own net following an Alaba cross early in the match. The 26-year-old, who featured in midfield, doubled the lead after the hour, unleashing a sumptuous 20-yarder into the far corner of the net. Coach Franco Foda subbed him off straight after the goal. Austria enjoyed a successful dress rehearsal against the World Cup quarter-finalists ahead of Tuesday's UEFA Nations League meeting with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
