Three FC Bayern pros were on national team duty on Tuesday evening. Robert Lewandowski was awarded a breather as Poland drew 1-1 with Ireland in a friendly. Thiago's Spain downed Croatia, whereas David Alaba's Austria suffered a setback in the Nations League.

Thiago's Spain outclass World Cup runners-up Croatia

Thiago and Spain rounded off the international break in style, taking the lead in Nations League Group A4 after a 6-0 thrashing of Croatia. The Bayern pro came on after the hour mark, when Spain were 5-0 in the lead in the goal fest in Elche. Saul Niguez and Marco Asensio scored before Croatia's Lovre Kalinic put through his own goal in the first half. Rodrigo Moreno, Sergio Ramos and Isco rounded off the scoreline after half-time.

Nations League defeat for Alaba

David Alaba and Austria suffered a defeat in their first Nations Leaue match. The 26-year-old played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 reverse against Bosnia-Herzegovina but was unable to prevent the setback. Ex-Wolfsburg man Edin Dzeko scored the match-winner for the hosts in the closing stages. Alaba had miscued from 20 yards ten minutes before the goal.
