Good news for Niko Kovac. On the day after the 2-1 win in the DFB Cup away to SV Rödinghausen, five Bayern pros returned to the training ground after not being able to play in the away game in Osnabrück on Monday. Sven Ulreich, who had stayed at home with his heavily pregnant wife, was joined at the open training session on Wednesday afternoon in front of 650 fans at Säbener Straße by Arjen Robben (back problem), James Rodríguez, Jérôme Boateng (both ill) and Mats Hummels (neuromuscular problems).

Without the players who were in the starting line-up against Rödinghausen, Kovac and his group focused on the next Bundesliga match against SC Freiburg. Now the intention is "to prepare for the next match and go and win it and then carry on," declared David Alaba after the match away to the Regional League side.
