Boateng, Goretzka and Rafinha back in full training

In magnificent sunshine this morning, FC Bayern started preparations for the next Bundesliga match this Saturday at VfL Wolfsburg. Apart from Bayern's Germany internationals and James, who were on duty the night before with their respective teams, head coach Niko Kovac had the majority of his squad present.

There was good news regarding the most recently injured players, with both Jerome Boateng and Leon Goretzka fully participating in the session. Boateng had returned to Munich early from the Germany squad because of muscular problems, while Goretzka missed both the 3-0 and 2-1 UEFA Nations League defeats to the Netherlands and France respectively because of a muscle hardening.

Rafinha also took part in the whole of this morning's session. The Brazilian has been out since matchday 3 due to an ankle ligament injury. David Alaba, who suffered a slight muscle fibre tear in his last game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, completed elements of the team training again for the first time. Before the final training game, Alaba continued with his individual programme in the performance centre.

Robert Lewandowski and Thiago also ended the session early. Both were in action with their respective national teams just two days ago, playing the full 90 minutes. The six Germany internationals are expected back in Munich during the course of the day and will come to Säbener Straße for individual regeneration training. James, on the other hand, will not be back in Munich until Thursday.
