Thiago returns to Munich from the international break with a surprising defeat under his belt after his Spain side were beaten 3-2 by England on Monday night in the UEFA Nations League. The midfielder played the full 90 minutes as a brace from Raheem Sterling either side of a Marcus Rashford goal gave the Three Lions a convincing three-goal lead inside 45 minutes. Substitute Paco Alcacer and captain Sergio Ramos pulled two back for the hosts after the break, but it wasn’t enough. La Roja, however, remain top of Group 4 on six points ahead of England (4) and Croatia (1).
