One Bayern player for another: Leon Goretzka has pulled out of Germany's squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games against the Netherlands and France due to muscle hardening. The 23-year-old has been replaced in Joachim Löw's squad by Bayern teammate Serge Gnabry.
Goretzka stayed in Munich on Tuesday for treatment and did not travel with the national team to their hotel in Berlin. After David Alaba (Austria), who suffered a small muscle fibre tear in Saturday's game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, he's already the second FC Bayern player to pull out of international duty because of injury this week.
