An excellent gesture in support of the club’s charity organisation FC Bayern Hilfe eV. Ahead of kick-off in the Bundesliga game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Norbert Scholz, chairman of the FC Bayern fan club Red Residenz Coburg 01 e.V., presented Karl Hopfner with a cheque to the value of 11,904.84 euros. That was part of the money raised from the ‘dream match’ between the fan club and FC Bayern in August of last year. Traditionally, 50 per cent of the profits from the ‘dream match’ go to FC Bayern Hilfe eV.
Milestone for Robben
Arjen Robben played his 300th game for FC Bayern in the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach and the Dutchman found the back of the net 141 times for the record champions in those 300 fixtures. Niklas Süle also had reason to celebrate as he made it 50 appearances for FC Bayern.
