There was bad news for FC Bayern on Friday as Arjen Robben was ruled out until the start of the New Year. "It looks like he won't feature again in this half of the season - the risk is too big," confirmed Niko Kovac in Friday's press conference before the trip to Hannover 96. According to his coach, the Dutchman has a problem with the muscle insertion in his thigh but he is expected to be fit for the start of the training camp in Qatar on 4 January.
Müller ban to be determined in January
Thomas Müller must also wait until the New Year to discover his punishment following his red card against Ajax. The UEFA disciplinary body will decide on the length of the 29-year-old's suspension on 10 January. "I hope it won't be too long. It'll be at least one game but we hope it's no more," commented Kovac on Friday. "Thomas is extremely sorry, he's also apologised himself. I can't remember him committing a single other foul this season," added the 47-year-old.
