Kovac: One of our best displays this season

FC Bayern were on fire on Matchday 15, beating Hannover 96 4-0, their biggest league victory so far this season. "At half-time we agreed it's just fun to play in this team," said scorer David Alaba. His coach added: "The team played really well over 90 minutes today," Niko Kovac said in praise of his men.

Reaction to Hannover v Bayern

Niko Kovac: "The team played really well over 90 minutes and created a lot of chances today. The 4-0 scoreline isn't high enough, we squandered three, four gilt-edged chances. It was nice the team took the Bundesliga seriously after the very difficult match away to Ajax, that we did our homework and turned in a dominant display. We were fully focused from the off. I'm increasingly aware we're slowly but surely turning the tide. We played well in the last few matches. The way everybody played, both in possession and without the ball, was very good. That's the ambition we have, and we must live up to it again and again. It was one of our best displays this season, and I'd like to pay the lads a compliment."

David Alaba: "We had ambitious plans, we wanted to attack from the start, impose our play and have fun. You saw it immediately in the first half, we were alert and liked to attack. At half-time we agreed it's just fun to play in this team. We want to focus on ourselves and win our matches. We've won all our last three Bundesliga matches, and we're on a good track."

Thomas Müller: "In hindsight we've had more problems in other matches. Especially without the ball: we didn't allow any chances. We were always alert and didn't let them relieve the pressure or stage counters but nipped it in the bud. That's the way we want to play. Of course you can't always control matches 100 percent, but in hindsight we have to say it was a top display."

Pirmin Schwegler (Hannover 96): "Bayern went full throttle today. They had a fully fueled Lamborghini, whereas we ran out of gas. They always say you must at least involve them in one-on-ones. But we didn't get hold of them, they were much too quick. We had no chance, zero."
