Munich is gripped by snow, and the FC Bayern training pitches are under a white cover. Fortunately, the German record champions have learned how to deal with the conditions.

When there was a 20-centimetre layer of snow on the Säbener Strasse training ground one day before the Champions League cracker against Real Madrid's White Ballet back in February 2004, around 30 "voluntary" helpers, including a number of reserve and youth players, cleared the training ground so Oliver Kahn & Co were able to prepare for the home match in Europe's premier club competition.
