Bayern star Thomas Müller has been suspended by UEFA for two Champions League games following his sending off during the 3-3 draw at Ajax last month. Müller will definitely miss the first leg of the last 16 clash with Premier League leaders Liverpool, but Bayern are to lodge an appeal against the verdict which means the 29-year-old could yet be available for the return leg.
The Germany international was shown a straight red card by referee Clément Turpin for a dangerous, albeit unintentional foul on Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico in the 75th minute of the match.
