What a milestone for Robert Lewandowski! His goal against FC Schalke was his 100th competitive goal at the Allianz Arena. No other player has scored as many goals at the stadium, which was inaugurated in 2005, as the 30-year-old Bayern striker. It was Lewandowski's 119th Bundesliga goal for the German record champions, who drew equal with Roland Wohlfarth. Only Gerd Müller on 365 goals and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on 162 have netted more goals for Bayern.
Century for Kimmich
Another landmark: One day after his 24th birthday Joshua Kimmich made his 100th Bundesliga appearance, all of them for Bayern. The defensive all-rounder made his debut on 12 September 2015, when he came on for Philipp Lahm in extra-time against Augsburg.
Liverpool win before a ten-day break
Liverpool won their last competitive match before the Champions League clash with FC Bayern. After two successive draws Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-0 to reclaim top spot in the Premier League, three points clear of Manchester City. Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum netted in the first half before Mohamed Salah closed out the meeting after the restart. Liverpool have a ten-day break now and will complete a training camp in Spain before taking on Bayern.
