Dorothee Bär has been appointed the 13th member of the FC Bayern München eV Advisory Board at its most recent meeting. The 40-year-old CSU politician (Christian Social Union of Bavaria) from Bamberg is a member of the German Bundestag (parliament) and Minister of State for Digitisation in the Chancellery. According to President Uli Hoeneß, having a Bayern fan club member in the German parliament is “a great enrichment for our Advisory Board. Dorothee Bär’s competence in questions of the future, especially with regard to digitisation, is very much to the benefit of our club.”
Dorothee Bär, who even once appeared in an FC Bayern jersey during a parliament session in Berlin in 2015, becomes the 13th member of the Advisory Board chaired by former Minister President of Bavarian Dr. Edmund Stoiber. According to the statutes, up to 15 members are possible. The FC Bayern München eV Advisory Board currently consists of the following members: Dr. Edmund Stoiber (Chairman), Alexandra Schörghuber (Deputy Chairwoman) as well as members Georg Fahrenschon, Dr. Herbert Henzler, Josef Hübl, Peter Kerspe, Hermann Memmel, Eckhart Müller-Heydenreich, Dieter Reiter, Josef Schmid, Jochen Tschunke, Dr. Heinrich von Pierer and Dorothee Bär.
