Niko Kovac will have to manage without Manuel Neuer in the first of the two remaining games in the race for the title. The FC Bayern captain has not returned to full training and will not travel to Leipzig. "We hope he can train again next week so he can be available for the last two games," declared the Bayern coach at the press conference on Thursday.
Javi Martinez is also doubtful for the last away game of the season. The Spaniard "received a kick on his calf" on Wednesday and is now sidelined. If he does drop out, "we'll miss him a lot. He has been very important in recent away games where we have to watch teams quickly playing on the break," said Kovac.
James Rodriguez did train with the team on Thursday and could come back into the squad. "Without Neuer and Martinez I'd have 18 fit players but I can only take 16," said the 47-role. Robert Lewandowski trained on his own in the gym on Thursday.
