The first competitive match of the new season promises to be a real thriller. The champions of Germany and DFB Cup winners FC Bayern face runners-up Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup 2019 on 3 August. The match at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund kicks off at 20.30 CET. Bayern are looking to defend the title won last year and bring the cup back to Munich for the fourth time in succession.
The Supercup normally features the champions of Germany and the winners of the DFB Cup from the previous season. As is the case this year, the German champions also won the DFB Cup so the runners-up will face FCB in the Supercup. The match will be broadcast live on Eurosport Player, Eurosport 2 HD Xtra and on ZDF. The game will also be broadcast in 200 countries that are members of FIFA. Ticket information to follow.
