Germany's starting line-up featured four FC Bayern players as the national team secured their second win in their second Euro 2020 qualifier. Die Mannschaft were 2-0 winners over Belarus, keeping them in second place in Group C (six points) behind Northern Ireland (nine points), who have played one more game. Kingsley Coman, meanwhile, had to wait until half-time for his introduction during France's 2-0 defeat in Turkey.

Germany coach Oliver Sorg, who was standing in for the absent Joachim Löw, included Manuel Neuer, Niklas Süle, Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry (substituted 71st minute) in his starting line-up in Borisov. Leon Goretzka came off the bench in the 81st minute, with Sven Ulreich an unused substitute. And the Munich contingent played a significant role in the victory. Neuer, for example, kept a clean sheet with some strong saves and Kimmich laid on the assist for Leroy Sané's opening goal in the 12th minute. Marco Reus netted the second goal shortly after the hour mark.

Over in Konya, Turkey, Coman came on at half-time with his side already 2-0 down after goals from Kaan Ayhan (30') and Cengiz Ünder (40'). Incoming Bayern signing Benjamin Pavard played the full 90 minutes. Coman's introduction gave France fresh impetus in attack but they couldn't find a goal, leaving the world champions in second place in Group H (six points) after three games, behind Turkey (nine).

Both Coman and the Germany internationals return to qualifying action on Tuesday 11 June (both kicking off at 20:45 CEST), with the 2014 World Cup winners taking on Estonia in Mainz and the French travelling to Andorra.
