Day two review of the Audi Summer Tour

In their second training session of the day on Tuesday, Manuel Neuer and Co. were able to try out the pitch at the Dignity Health Sports Park where FC Bayern face Arsenal in the International Champions Cup on Wednesday. There were plenty of fans present to watch FCB put in a real shift after a shorter session the day before. fcbayern.com reports on what else was happened on day two of the Audi Summer Tour.

Touring exhibition at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust

The deputy vice-president Walter Mennekes hit the nail on the head. The fact FC Bayern selected the opening of the touring exhibition 'Venerated – Persecuted – Forgotten' on Tuesday morning as the first big event of the tour shows how important the subject is for the whole club. The exhibition, which tells the stories of the victims of Nazism at FC Bayern, at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust runs to 30 September.

The commitment of the German record champions to opposing racism found recognition by the American Jewish Committee (AJC): "The fact FC Bayern use their enormous recognition around the globe to fight anti-Semitism is exceptional and should serve as inspiration for other sports teams to use their platforms for social justice," said Scott Edelman, Regional President of the AJC in his speech at the opening event.

 

SAP: Tricks and views with Coman and Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich and Kingsley Coman were at an event with FC Bayern partner SAP in the evening. On a roof terrace with an impressive view, the duo took part in a skill challenge with a freestyle artist before fulfilling the requests of the guests for photos and autographs.

Fan meeting at Paulaner with Martínez and Sanches

A great atmosphere awaited Javi Martinez and Renato Sanches at the fan meeting with the Bayern partner Paulaner. Fired up by the stadium announcer Stephan Lehmann, supporters of the record champions celebrated at a party in a pub in Los Angeles – including Sophia from Augsburg who won the trip to the USA as part of the Paulaner fan dreams competition. Martínez and Sanchez enjoyed mingling with the crowd and were kept busy signing autographs.

 

Telekom: Fan meeting on the beach with Ulreich and Lewandowski

Long queues at a Telekom shop are only usually seen if a new smart phone comes onto the market but this time it was Robert Lewandowski and Sven Ulreich who were responsible. The duo were invited to the Telekom flagship store near to the world-famous Santa Monica beach where they were enthusiastically received by 500 Bayern supporters looking for a photo or autographs from the pair. Ulreich and Lewandowski took time out to fulfil the supporters' wishes.

Müller & Süle in NFL duel

Other sports do every athlete good. Therefore, Thomas Müller and Niklas Süle opted to try out American football on Tuesday night. In teams of two with Cameron Jordan of the New Orleans Saints and Equanimeous St. Brown of the Notre Dame College team the duo took up the challenge and had great fun doing so. As with Alaba and Ribéry last year, the men from Munich showed great ambition and demonstrated they knew what to do with the oval ball.
