FC Bayern‘s Bundesliga timetable up until the end of September has been confirmed. On Wednesday, the German Football League (DFL) scheduled the first six matchdays of the 2019/20 season. After the season opener against Hertha BSC on Friday, 16 August (20.30 CET), which had already been finalised, the German record champions can look forward to five Saturday afternoon or evening games.
The first two away games of the season, at Schalke 04 (24 August) and at DFB Cup final opponents RB Leipzig (14 September) are the designated top matches of the respective matchdays, earning a prime-time kick-off slot of Saturday evening at 18.30 CET. In between, FC Bayern will host FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (31 August) at 15.30 CET in the Allianz Arena. The end of September will see a double against newly-promoted sides, at home to FC Köln (21 September) and on the road against SC Paderborn (28 September) - kick-off time for both fixtures is Saturday at 15.30 CET.
Following the draw for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League group stages at the end of August, the DFL will announce the exact dates for further matchdays. This is expected to take place in the week commencing 2 September.
