Introducing Benjamin Pavard! World Cup winner – and an FC Bayern player since Monday. The Frenchman has landed at his dream club. "For me it was Bayern or nothing," revealed the 23-year-old about his decision to join the German record champions.
The defender moved to Germany in 2016 from OSC Lille, where he came through the youth ranks, to join VfB Stuttgart and he helped the second division club gain promotion to the Bundesliga in his first season. After 61 games (and one goal) in Germany's top flight, he has taken the next step in his career by joining the double winners.
Bayern's new number five will really get going in Munich from the middle of the month when he joins the other international players in the squad starting the pre-season. After playing for France in the Euro qualifiers up to the middle of June, Pavard is currently on a well earned break.
