Bayern left no doubt as to who would contest the Audi Cup final at the Allianz Arena when they beat Fenerbahce 6-1. Niko Kovac' troops were five up at half-time and engaged cruise control in the second half. "I'd like to pay a huge compliment to my team, they did a really good job," the FCB coach said after the match.

Reaction to Bayern v Fenerbahce

Niko Kovac: "I'd like to pay a huge compliment to my team, they did a really good job. We put into practice what we had planned. We created a lot of chances and defended very well. Pre-season is going really well so far. We're satisfied with the fitness level and the verve the team show. The season is approaching but we still have some time to further improve. But we're satisfied at the moment."

Thomas Müller: "There was a number of things we liked. We played pretty well from the start. We broke the deadlock when we scored the first goal."

Ersun Yanal (Fenerbahce coach): "We're contesting a longstanding tournament and faced strong opponents today. It was important to learn this lesson. We tried to make the best out of it in the second half. We were completely confused after the first goal. Then we conceded three goals after individual mistakes, our morale was destroyed. We must make sure we improve, we'll continue to work hard. But we can achieve it during pre-season."

Max Kruse: "It's clear you mustn't make mistakes like these against Bayern."
