Michaël Cuisance signs five-year contract

FC Bayern Munich have signed France Under-20 international Michaël Cuisance from Borussia Mönchengladbach. After successfully completing a medical, Cuisance put his name to a five-year contract, valid until 30 June 2024, and will start training at FC Bayern this week.

"In his first professional season at Gladbach, Michaël Cuisance was voted the club's 'Player of the Season'. He has a lot of skill and great potential," commented Hasan Salihamidzic. "Michaël should have the opportunity to develop with us. We're convinced we'll be very happy with him," the sporting director continued.

Cuisance, who celebrated his 20th birthday on Friday, said: "I know this is a very big step for me. But I feel ready and am very proud I'll be wearing an FC Bayern shirt in future. For me personally, it's great that some French players are already playing for Bayern. That will certainly help me integrate into the team."

Michaël Cuisance joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in July 2017, making 35 Bundesliga appearances for the club. The central midfield player learned his trade at the AS Nancy youth academy.
