Bayern players complete Tegernsee challenges

Suddenly, Lucas Hernández took off. Loudly cheering, the French World Cup winner went on a lap of honour around the rear courtyard of the Freihaus Brenner restaurant. The 23-year-old had just earned some important points for his team in the "Bayern Painter" challenge by recognising a work of art by amateur artist Robert Lewandowski. The theme: a tomato.
For Friday evening, head coach Niko Kovac had come up with a very special session to help his squad relax after the exertions of the past few days' training. Before taking up club president Uli Hoeneß' invitation to a joint dinner at the beautifully located Tegernsee restaurant, the players and the staff had to complete a number of challenges.
Fierce competition in the challenges
The men from Munich competed in events such as 'welly-throwing', 'beer mug pushing', 'cow-milking' or even 'Bayern-painting'. They laughed, cheered each other on and also had debates - because even if the focus was on having fun, everyone was of course still fiercely competitive.
If you’d like to re-live the action, you can watch a longer summary of the evening on the FC Bayern Youtube channel on Tuesday. It's definitely worth taking a look!
