Reaction to Bayern v Union
Niko Kovač: "Union defended outstandingly well, they made life difficult for us. I'm satisfied with my team's performance. We didn't allow anything from open play and had a number of big chances, unfortunately we didn't take them. Eventually we'll convert more of our many chances. We are where we wanted to be, we're at the top of the table."
Thomas Müller: "There were many good aspects. We gave away two penalties, apart from that we didn't allow much to happen. I think it was a quite decent display, but we're lacking a bit of determination and of course the luck you need to make the most out of chances. The goal was to claim top spot today, we've achieved that. And now we have to work from match to match to become calmer again. I think we're doing a good job."
Robert Lewandowski: "I always try to do my best, to perform to the best of my ability. I'm glad we won today. I want to help the team with my goals, with my play, with my movements. I'm glad about the record of course, but I focus on football and training. Maybe I'll think about it more at the end of the season."
Urs Fischer (Union Berlin coach): "It was a deserved victory for Bayern. We weren't alert when we conceded the first goal, Bayern exploited that. Lewandowski got hold of the ball more or less accidentally when he scored the second one. Sure, Bayern were dominant throughout, but we defended well. I'm proud of my team, we made it as difficult as possible for Bayern."
