Bayern work up a sweat in freezing temperatures

Wrap up warm and onto the pitch. FC Bayern started training again on Tuesday and are now in the last phase before the winter break. In cold temperatures, the two goalkeepers Sven Ulreich and Ron-Thorben Hoffman plus Thomas Müller, Jérôme Boateng, Michaël Cuisance and Javi Martínez made their way onto the training ground. They were joined by Benjamin Pavard and Alphonso Davies who have already returned from international duty. Corentin Tolisso, who played for the full 90 minutes for France on Sunday, scoring one goal, just did the warm-up. Kingsley Coman completed light training on his own following a muscular problem.

Coach Hansi Flick had a tough session lined up. After a short warm-up, he upped the tempo and the drills became more intensive so that several of the players quickly dispensed with their hats and scarves. By the time games were being played, everybody was working up a sweat. Flick was also very busy along with the players and he again and again intervened to give advice.

In the shooting session at the end, watching fans were able to witness some great goals and impressive saves by the two keepers. The session ended after 90 minutes. After that, Müller and Co. signed autographs for the supporters who stayed on despite the freezing temperatures at Säbener Straße. The FCB pros are training again on Wednesday morning – this time behind closed doors. Some of the other international players will be back by then. FC Bayern are away to Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday.
