Good news from FC Bayern's youth section! Reserve players Sarpreet Singh, Leon Dajaku, Oliver Batista-Meier and Joshua Zirkzee will train with the first team until the winter break, head coach Hansi Flick announced at Friday's press conference ahead of the Bundesliga match away to Düsseldorf. "We're convinced these talents must train with the best to improve. And they have ideal conditions if they train with our pros," Flick explained.
Singh has made 11 third-league appearances for the reserves so far this term. The 20-year-old New Zealand international has scored five goals and set up another four. Germany U-19 international Dajaku, who was part of the pro squad for the matches against Bochum and Frankfurt, has made 14 appearances for the reserves, scoring two and setting up another three goals. Batista-Meier, another Germany U-19 international, has made 11 appearances in the third league, scoring two goals. Zirkzee has featured in 12 third-division matches. The forward boasts eight goals in seven matches for the Netherlands U-19s.
