On Monday, Robert Lewandowski was named in coach Jerzy Brzęczek's squad for Poland's final two EURO 2020 qualifiers. The Poles, who have already qualified for next summer's tournament, play Israel away on Saturday 16 November before a home match against Slovenia in Warsaw three days later.
The Bayern striker follows his teammates Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perišić in being called up by his national team for the forthcoming international break. Coutinho is in Tite's Brazil squad for the friendlies against Argentinia on 15 November in Saudi Arabia and against South Korea on 19 November in the United Arab Emirates. Perišić has been picked by Croatia boss Zlatko Dalić for their decisive European qualifier against Slovakia on 16 November, where they can book their place at EURO 2020, as well as the friendly against Georgia three days later.
