Tough group for Germany - Thiago up against Lewandowski

Germany have been handed a tough group at the EURO 2020. Joachim Löw's men will face world champions France and European champions Portugal. They will learn the identity of their remaining opponents after the play-offs on 31 March, with seven teams available. That was the result of the EURO group draw at the Romexpo exhibition centre in Bucharest on Saturday.

All three of Germany's matches in Group F will take place at the Allianz Arena on 16, 20 and 24 June. German FCB pros Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka will encounter French FCB quartet Corentin Tolisso, Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernández and Kingsley Coman.

Spain and Thiago will face off against Poland and Robert Lewandowski, with Sweden and another play-off-winning team also in Group E. Ivan Perišić and World Cup runners-up Croatia will encounter England, the Czech Republic and a play-off side. David Alaba's Austria take on the Netherlands, Ukraine and a play-off team in Group C.

EURO 2020 will be staged from 12 June to 12 July across 12 countries. London's Wembley will be the venue for the two semi-finals and the final.
