Once again this year, there were numerous events for the German Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund at the start of November. In partnership with the Bundesliga, over 80 ‘watch parties’ were organised across 30 different countries, with the match being broadcast in more than 200 countries. Naturally, some of our club legends were also involved. Klaus Augenthaler featured as a pundit for Thai Bundesliga partner PPTV, Giovane Elber followed the terrific match together with hundreds of Chinese fans in Guangzhou, and Paulo Sergio enjoyed the team’s success with Zé Roberto and more than 6,000 fans at a big watch party on Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro.

Two fans from Brazil also got their hands on a great prize this year. They were the winners of a Klassiker competition which took place across all FC Bayern fan clubs worldwide and were invited to the German record champions’ Bundesliga home match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The representatives of the São Paulo-based fan club 'Red White Brazil' enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime experience, while the whole fan club was also invited to the #HyloLegendsTourBrazil as a special treat. As part of this, the Legends Cup Brazil is taking place in São Paulo on 15 December, where an FC Bayern Legends team made up of former stars will take part.

FC Bayern coaches in action abroad

Between 7 and 25 November, our international coaches Christopher Loch and Antonio Vatany were in Singapore to educate coaches from our local partners SportSG (Sport Singapore) in theory and practice. At the same time, Thomas Döllner and Bayern legend Augenthaler visited Thailand with the same brief: the further training of Thai coaches in Bangkok. Both also got the opportunity to lead some training sessions for boys and girls during the trip. All participants had great fun and learned a lot, but it wasn’t just overseas that our hard-working coaches have been spreading the know-how and philosophy of FC Bayern. They were also busy in Munich in November.

Three groups got to experience FC Bayern up close during November. At the start of the month, Sebastian Dremmler and Bayern legend Hans Pflügler welcomed players and coaches from our American youth partner GPS. Later on in the month, we also hosted a coaching delegation from Thailand as well as two teams from Korea in the Bavarian state capital. For all three groups, there were content-related courses and training sessions on the agenda along with other activities such as an exclusive visit to the FC Bayern Campus and the Allianz Arena, sightseeing in Munich and of course a home match at the stadium.
