Saturday was bumpy for the FC Bayern Legends. Some luggage went missing on the flight from Munich to São Paulo via Paris and had to be delivered subsequently.
Acclimatisation made easy
The night was short, but the FC São Paulo campus, where the legends teams of the hosts, FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund revived their spirits. Acclimatisation is easy on the hill, 30 kilometres from the chaos of the metropolis.

Watch party
Aftert breakfast, the bulk of the team headed to the city for a watch party. About 200 fans in FCB jerseys and traditional Bavarian outfits created a nice atmosphere at the O'Malleys bar. They even sung in German. The match against Werder Bremen was staged at 11.30 local time. "Its cool how the fans are sitting in the stands, wearing jackets, hats and scarves - whereas we're wearing shorts and shirts," commented Michael Sternkopf. The Bayern goals were celebrated just like at the Allianz Arena, in the style of stadium announcer Stephan Lehmann. And of course, local hero Coutinho was the star of the show.

German chants
World champions Klaus Augenthaler, Hans Pflügler and Paulo Sérgio, who had attended a training session with Lúcio in the context of a project for disadvantaged children, joined in at half-time. When the legends said goodbye after the final whistle, the fans sung Stern des Südens in German. "Incredible, a Coutinho gala because we're in Brazil," Paulo Sergio commented. FC Bayern take on São Paulo, Barcelona and Dortmund in the context of the HYLO Legends Brasil19 tour, and they will be buoyed by the clear-cut victory. "We'll use this invitation by Coutinho, Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller and everyone else, and we'll give it everything here in São Paulo," said Elber.
