Tottenham secured a morale-boosting 5-0 victory against Burnley at the weekend, in the run-up to their away Champions League group stage match against Bayern. Spurs were in fine form in dismantling their opponents at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Harry Kane opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a dipping drive from long distance. Soon after, Lucas Moura doubled the lead (9'), before Heung-Min Son scored a stunning solo goal just after half an hour (32'). Kane made it four after half-time (54'), before Moussa Sissoko rounded off the victory with a fifth (74'). The victory helped the Londoners up to 6th in the table after Matchday 16.
On Wednesday Spurs are the visitors at the Allianz Arena. The last fixture in the group stage will not affect either side's position in the group; Bayern have secured top spot, while Spurs are sure of a second place finish. Despite this, the men from Munich are intent on ending the group stage on a high with a win. If Bayern were to triumph, it would be the first time that a German team hasn't dropped a single point in the whole group stage. The away fixture between these two teams, earlier this season, saw Bayern come away with an emphatic 7-2 victory.
