Hasan Salihamidžić named FC Bayern München AG board member for sport from 1 July 2020

Munich, Monday 9 December 2019: At today’s meeting of the FC Bayern München AG supervisory board, the members present unanimously resolved to appoint Hasan Salihamidžić (42) to the executive board of FC Bayern München AG, effective 1 July 2020. The current contract with Hasan Salihamidžić as sporting director, a position he took up on 1 August 2017, runs to 30 June 2020. His period in office covers two German championship titles (2018 & 2019), one DFB Cup (2019), the promotion of the FC Bayern U23 team to the third division, and numerous titles for the youth teams at FC Bayern.

FC Bayern München AG supervisory board chairman Herbert Hainer said: "In his role as sporting director, Hasan Salihamidžić has achieved a lot over the past two and a half years with the senior team and the junior section. The supervisory board is convinced that Hasan is the right man to help shape and be responsible for the sporting future of FC Bayern in the coming years."
