On Tuesday morning Hansi Flick and his team took up preparations for their next task. After two well-earned days off following the 5-0 victory over FC Schalke, the Bayern pros were fully focused despite the rainy weather when they kicked off their week's training. Bayern travel to face FSV Mainz on Saturday afternoon. Bayern used the whole of the pitch in the 90-minute session, completing passing drills with shots at small goals and a practice match.
Lucas Hernández completed the full squad programme again. There was more good news from Javi Martínez: the Spaniard had completed laps on the pitch before the training session, taking another step towards his comeback after sustaining a thigh injury towards the end of the first half of the season. Kingsley Coman continued his rehab, turning in an individual session to return to team training as soon as possible after sustaining a capsule tear.
