Bayern have landed in Nuremberg

Welcome back from Doha: After around six hours in the air, the plane carrying FC Bayern landed on time on Friday evening at Nuremberg airport. On departure on the seventh and final day of the training camp, the weather in the desert state had turned rainy, which made it all the easier for the team from Munich to adapt to the wintry climate in the unofficial capital of Franconia. There, the German record champions will play a friendly at 15:30 CET on Saturday against Bundesliga 2 outfit 1. FC Nürnberg.

Flick looking forward to the friendly

"We planned the journey so we could fly directly to Nuremberg. It makes sense to ensure short distances for the team," explained Hansi Flick. The Bayern coach is already looking forward to the clash with the players of the Club: "It's a derby. Accordingly, the 54-year-old also expects full commitment in this final tough test before the start of the second half of the season at Hertha BSC on 19 January - despite some heavy legs after an intensive week of pre-season training. "Even when tired you can still perform. Tomorrow is also a bit about motivating yourself," insisted Flick.
