Final week of preparation starts with performance diagnostics

Alphonso Davies & Co. had two free days to recover from the exhausting training camp in Doha before returning to action on Tuesday.  The FC Bayern pros completed performance diagnostics, passing through different stations for stamina tests and blood and movement analysis under the auspices of Prof Dr Holger Broich (chief scientific officer and head of fitness).

 

 

But that was not all. A small group including FC Bayern youngsters completed a demanding session out on the pitch. There was good news regarding Serge Gnabry. The forward, who was out of action in Doha due to an Achilles tendon problem, returned to the pitch on Tuesday. Besides different running exercises, Gnabry worked with the ball, much to the delight of the Germany international.

Tuesday marked the start of Bayern's final week of preparation before the Bundesliga reopener away to Hertha Berlin. Hansi Flick has four more days of training to prepare his team for the start of the second half of the season, when Bayern aim to make up lost ground in the table.
