Comebacks for Lucas Hernández and Kingsley Coman

FC Bayern have reason to be confident ahead of the decisive phase of the season. Hansi Flick's men retained top spot in the Bundesliga table after the goalless draw against RB Leipzig, and two FCB pros made their yearned-for comebacks in Sunday's match.

Hernández back in action after 110 days

French world champion Lucas Hernández took over from Jérôme Boateng midway through the second half, returning to action after 110 days on the sidelines. His last competitive match for FCB had been the 3-2 victory away to Olympiacos on 22 October. The 23-year-old hit the ground running, spoiling a chance for RB's Patrik Schick in the 71st minute. He won 100 percent of his tackles.

Coman's flawless display

Hernández' compatriot Kingsley Coman made his comeback in the closing stages. The winger had made his last appearance in the 3-1 victory over Tottenham on 11 December. He made his 144th competitive appearance for Bayern on Sunday, drawing equal with former assistant coach Robert Kovac and Didi Hamann. The 23-year-old proved he has not lost his touch. He won all his tackles, and 100 percent of his passes found a team-mate.
