A warm 'welcome back' was the order of the day at FC Bayern on Wednesday, as Kingsley Coman completed several parts of the team training programme. The Frenchman suffered a minor strain during the away win against Chelsea at the end of February and had been sidelined since then. The winger returned to the pitch and was visibly delighted to be there.
Three matches until international break
So were his teammates, who also resumed duty after two days without training and began preparing for the away trip to face Union Berlin. "It's been obvious we've come off the back of two weeks with midweek matches. On Wednesday, we want to shift up through the gears again so that we're really ready for the next three games," said Thomas Müller, who was pleased about the brief period of recovery following the win against Augsburg. Prior to the first international break of the year, the Bavarians face three tricky matches, away to Union and at home against Chelsea and Frankfurt.
