FCB partner Qatar Airways helps with repatriation of German citizens
Qatar Airways, one of FC Bayern's partners, is currently facilitating the return of German citizens travelling on Asian routes, as well as with flights from Australia and New Zealand. Qatar Airways is directly involved in the repatriation of German citizens coordinated together with the Foreign Office's crisis team with flights to and from Kathmandu, because only pilots with special training are allowed to take off and land there.
In the upcoming week, thousands of Germans are to fly back to Germany via Doha. Qatar Airways currently still flies to around 70 cities worldwide, and the number of flights to classic holiday destinations such as Denpasar in Bali, Phuket in Thailand and Male in the Maldives has been increased. Qatar Airways is also increasing the frequency of its flights to Melbourne and Sydney to bring stranded holidaymakers back to Europe.
