FC Bayern overcame the quarter-final hurdle in the DFB Cup with flying colours, beating FC Schalke 1-0. That means the holders are a step nearer to another final. Who the Reds will face in the semi-finals will be revealed on Sunday. The draw for the last four will be broadcast live from 18.00 CET on the ARD Sportschau TV show. Fans and management alike can hardly wait as fcbayern.com presents the possible opponents.
Possible semi-final opponents for FC Bayern:
Bundesliga:
Bayer 04 Leverkusen: The Werkself came back from a goal down to beat Union Berlin 3-1 in the quarter-finals. This will be the first semi-final appearance for Leverkusen since 2017/18. The Rhinelanders lost 6-2 to FC Bayern back then. The route to the last four saw Bayer knock out Union plus Alemannia Aachen (4-1), SC Paderborn (1-0) and VfB Stuttgart (2-1).

Regional League:
1. FC Saarbrücken: In the long history of the DFB Cup, the Blues and Blacks are the first fourth division team to qualify for the last four. The league leaders of the Regional League South West beat Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf in the quarter-finals 8-7 on penalties. The team coached by Lukas Kwasniok also knocked out Jahn Regensburg (3-2), FC Köln (3-2) and Karlsruher SC (5-3 on penalties). As the lower league club, FCS will definitely be at home.
