The European Championship planned for this summer has been postponed by a year and will now take place in 2021. In addition, European club competitions, among them the Champions League, are being paused until further notice. This was agreed by UEFA during Tuesday's video conference with stakeholders from European football, including representatives of the 55 UEFA member associations, the European Club Association (ECA) and the European leagues. The basis for this decision are the current developments regarding the coronavirus outbreak. Working groups have been set up to determine the next steps with regards to the club competitions.
